2024 Grass River Native Plant SaleSaturday, June 8th at Grass River
10:00am to 1:00pm Native plants are incredibly important to native wildlife. Join us for this one-day sale event. You can get plants in two ways: 1. Pre-order garden kits below with 38 plugs of a variety of species meant for a 4'x 10' garden. Then, pick them up the day of the event, June 8. Orders need to be placed by June 3. 2. Show up the day of the event (June 8) to purchase single species quarts at the Grass River Center. They are first-come first-served until stock runs out, so arrive early if you want your pick of all the species available! A single species plant list is at the bottom of this page. All plants are locally grown and native to Michigan. Sales from this event help to support Grass River's important conservation work. And, you help local wildlife by planting native plants in your yard! |

Shoreline Garden Kit - A mix of lake and stream shoreline loving plants to provide a buffer, prevent erosion, add habitat, and add beauty to the water's edge. 38 plugs for a 4' x 10' garden.
Semi-Shade Garden Kit - Columbine, Spiderwort, Bluestem Goldenrod, and other shade tolerant plants. Great for those part-shade parts of the yard or near woodlands. 38 plugs for a 4' x 10' garden.
Pollinator Garden Kit - A mix of wildflowers to attract our pollinators, like native bees, butterflies, and moths in spring, summer, and fall. 38 plugs for a 4' x 10' garden.
Grassland Garden Kit - Bluestem, Switchgrass, Indian Grass and other warm and cool season attractive grasses that are low-maintenance. 38 plugs for a 4' x 10' garden.
Tall Prairie Garden Kit - A mix of colorful and tall prairie plants for an area where you would like the garden to grow tall, be robust, and add color all season long. 38 plugs for a 4' x 10' garden.
Rain Garden Kit - A mix of water-loving wildflowers for wet areas, ditches, or near rain gutters that can tolerate flooding during spring runoff or rain events, as well as drier conditions, all while providing wildlife habitat and a vibrant mix of blooms. 38 plugs for a 4' x 10' garden.
Monarch Garden Kit - A mix of several Michigan native milkweeds for Monarch caterpillars, as well as vital nectar plants for adult butterflies from early Summer through Fall migration. 38 plugs for a 4' x 10' garden.

Individual PlantsWill be available for purchase, first-come first-served on June 8, around $8 per quart.

See Last year's species list. We'll try to have as many of the species on this list available as possible, but all may not be available on the sale day. We don't take orders for individual species quarts, these are first-come first-served until stock runs out. But if you are interested in purchasing a larger quantity of any one species in quarts, please contact us and we can try to make sure that quantity is available.
