NATURE EDUCATION INTERN
Reports to: Education Director
Education Requirements: Current student or professional pursuing a career in education, conservation, environmental science, or related field
Summary of Position:
Grass River Natural Area (GRNA) is seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals for its Nature Education Internship. This position offers hands-on experience in environmental education, with responsibilities that include leading summer camps, school programs, public events, and other educational initiatives. The intern will collaborate with the Education Director and naturalists to engage visitors and promote a deeper appreciation for the natural world at the Grass River Center in Bellaire, Michigan, and its surrounding area. Additional duties may include assisting with outreach programs and contributing to natural resource monitoring and conservation efforts.

This is a paid internship offering $13 per hour in 2025. Interns work on average 20-34 hours/week, flexible with availability.
Timeline: Interviews typically take place in February and March with interns working May-August (flexible with their schedule).
