KAYAK RENTALS
Grass River has kayak rentals for our guided programs. Check out kayak tours HERE. We also have kayaks available for rent from the Grass River Dock! Kayaks must be reserved in advance to have staff ready to prep equipment, and during the open hours of the Center, 10am-4pm. Kayaks must be returned by 4pm. Kayaks may not be available on some days due to other programming. Available June-September. Adults and Teens only. Six single kayaks are available for rental. No tandems. SNOWSHOE & SKI RENTALS
Grass River now has snowshoes and skis available to rent for youth, toddlers, and adults! Stop by the Grass River Center on weekends to rent yours and hit the trail! If you are interested in snowshoes on a weekday when the Center is not open, email [email protected] to get in touch with staff. Please email a few days before when you would like the snowshoes so we can arrange a staff member to have them ready for you. Otherwise you can walk-in to rent on weekends, or call the Center at 231-533-8576 At Grass River Natural Area 2-3 hr. rental - $10 per pair 4-6 hr. rental - $15 per pair Full Day rental (24 hours) - $20 During a program - $5 per pair for use during a paid winter program OTHER WINTER RENTALS Want to hit the Grass River trails this winter, but you don't have cross-country skis? The Chippewa, Nipissing, Algonquin, and Rail trails are groomed for classic cross-county skiing (over 3 miles) at GRNA when conditions allow. The remaining trails are open to snowshoeing and backcountry skiing.
