Grass River Natural Area has 1.5 miles of boardwalk trails meandering through northern fen and cedar swamp wetlands. The Tamarack Trail, a one-third mile loop bordering Sedge Meadow Trail and Fern Trail (also know as the Perception Pathway), was reconstructed in 2018 and features a wider, more stable boardwalk experience than the legacy boardwalk. A portion of this trail is also a part of the Perception Pathway which features a guiding rope and newly installed braille interpretive signs along the .5 mile long trail.
